Tao of Peace – Chapter Twenty-Five

Tao of Peace

Chapter Twenty – Five

It is what dwells within the Temple

that is of true importance,

and not the Temple itself.

Yet, we must care for the Temple

in a sacred manner,

for without the Temple,

we have no place

in which we can dwell in this lifetime.

The Temple should reflect

the inner beauty and depth

of what lives within.

If there is

no inner beauty and depth within,

then the Temple

is no more than an empty dwelling.
