A word about offerings/donations:Β It is of the utmost importance that you come to class with an offering (read Yogi Bhajan’s statement below). The offering should be made in the spirit of gratitude and can be in a monetary form, which is usually easiest, or a gift.
Recommended online class donation is $10.
“Itarashtam tithar Kashtam – empty handed you come, empty handed you go. It’s a law which should never be broken. And you should (as a teacher) share freely, but never receive a student who comes empty handed – that’s the law. If a person shall come empty handed, that person may sit here for six hours and do all kinds of yoga, but the moment he goes out of that door, he’ll go empty handed. That’s the only condition, and it’s not up to you or me.” ~ Yogi Bhajan
Hi Seva! I almost missed the beginning of class too ~ since I just woke up at 8:00am pacific time! Just wanted to mention how beautiful your discourse on “love” is ~~~
Oh I see your students have arrived!!! π
Sat Nam!! Blessings ~ Coralina ~
Thank you soooooo much, Seva, for this morning of the blessings you share in spirit and heart ~ Your radiance puts a smile on my face and I feel joyful within ~ The body exercises are messages of caring for oneself ~ I feel the union of body, mind and spirit by the end of class and am in a peaceful and loving place ~ May your week ahead be blissful (btw I love your singing voice and feel a very special tenderness in your voice) ~
Om Shanti Divine! ~ Coralina ~
Seva! – hehe i almost missed the beginning of class too like coralinni! ~ oopsie!! ~ but i made it! π π π π
~ As always, thanks for guiding us with light and wisdom — taking us on the long path to healing and ultimate freedom of the spirit ~
(ah! – so that’s how u play “love becomes her” on guitarra!! – i saw that earlier….real nice! – im gonna practice that one!! π
— On a more solemn note, i’ve been in much reflection as of late pondering about life — (i’ll write more in a private message) ~ taking time out for myself as i take a break from things…..In short, it’s been a trialing period the past couple of weeks….as i continue to battle with my condition and inner demons ~ and well as learning from my folks recently some upsetting news that they didnt want to tell me ~ that concerns us as a whole ~ on top of listening to the crazy things going on in the world today ~
In my meditations…..this question popped out in my mind more than once ~ about suffering in general — at times, it’s as almost suffering is a birthright to us all — to some degree….we all suffer from somethng ~ whether financially, emotionally – healthwise…etc….
One lesson i learned from experience in my own pains, is the true appreciation of the things that really matter in life — that most take for granted or overlook ~ for once they are gone…they are gone forever ~
Although….too much suffering — as my acupuncturist said to me once….too much pain, can also kill us ~ i think that to myself and i wonder…..why does hage to be sooo much of it when people have so much to deal with already…..needless pain ~
What are your thoughts on this Seva?? ~ thanks for reading! ~
LOL @ crazylady!!! – that got me smiling!! π
Hello lovely lady! No you’re not crazy! Heheee! ~ I love your imagination!! ~
Thank you so much Sevara for today’s class. As always, I enjoy listening to your words of wisdom. I also enjoyed listening to you play…..(specifically a beautiful composition before the rest of the students arrived) your music has the tendency to touch the depths of my soul……such high resonance……….I’m curious if this is one of your new pieces…..
I enjoyed today’s kriya very much, I hope my abs are showing by next week. π
Rakhe Rakhanhar is the perfect mantra for me right now since it’s a mantra of complete protection and adds energy to one’s being. Building up the sacred energy in my new space is very important to me, and reciting mantras allows for the light to pour in.
Thank you for giving us a peek of how Canada looks like right now for you. The snow falling looked heavenly. It inspires one to go into a deep meditation. π
Infinite blessings Sevara!
Love & Light,
~Maria Elena (Sat Prakash)
