Confusion ~ Inspirational words by Sevaji

Confusion

Have you ever felt confused, uncertain, insecure about life? A big decision is looming before you but you just can’t seem to hear the inner voice that gives you guidance and your life comes to a standstill until a decision is finally made. But so much is at stake, how to know what is right or wrong? What will the consequences be? This takes the mind into a drama, a leela, that we call confusion.

No matter what the apparent cause for the confusion is, confusion arises from one condition: not knowing your inner Truth. You may feel confused about relationships, school, your occupation, or even life in general. This all stems from not knowing your inner Truth.

As you discover who you are and who you are not, as the self-inquiry into “who am I” evolves, a subtle wisdom grows. Instead of being fragmented with multiple personalities, multiple masks, multiple facades, a unity begins to form within you, a center of knowingness. A life lived through personas and masks is a fragmented life, and a fragmented mind can never possess a calmness, can never possess inner peace. The mind will keep on calculating and formulating which is the best persona to present in any given situation. Thus you live in authentically. Thus confusion arises.

Many have not taken the leap into discovering their inner Truth because they know the inquiry itself will reveal all the ugliness inside themselves, which is why they have created personalities in the first place; to hide the truth from themselves and others. Many have sought to overcome confusion by doing things that imbalance themselves so much that the significance of life become irrelevant. People who are addicted to drugs or alcohol use these intoxicants to become so clouded that their choices in life no longer matter. They escape reality, they escape their problems, they escape having to face making decisions by escaping the world. They go into a waking dream of delusion where their problems vanish, even if it is only temporarily.

If you wish to live without confusion, if you wish to live with clarity, fearlessly discover your Truth. Trust that you will discover the beauty within you, but accept the thorns with the roses. Trust that you can trust yourself to find your own answers, not those that are pre-package by others who only seek to control you. Know yourself and define yourself. Know what makes you smile. Know what makes you sad. Know what your limits are. Define for yourself what you believe to be righteous, sacred, holy, divine. Then, with all the power of your being, live in accord with your Truth. And soon confusion will fade, and clarity will flourish.

Blessings,
