Respecting and cherishing these diverse cultures and people touches my heart at the deepest levels ~ I have too many stories inside of me since childhood to express in words how I feel but for now …just an example ~ From early childhood I remember a Native American friend who lived on a nearby reservation shared with me a painful story ~ She said the church was controlling her school and the Indian children were not allowed to speak their native language at school or face punishment ~
In so many ways our society’s social values discourage the rich diversity of cultures ~ These differences are treasures of the human spirit ~ With grateful heart .. thank you Johannes for bringing light and understanding where much darkness exists in our world ~ Blessings ~ Coralina ~
