Uncontacted Tribe, One Of Uncontacted Tribe, One Of The World’s Last, Threatened By Illegal Logging In Brazil

Never-before-seen images of uncontacted Brazilian Indians reveal a thriving world that may soon be destroyed. The photos were taken by Brazil’s Indian Affairs Department, and Survival International presents them in an attempt to protect the Indian territory.

The tribe is currently in danger, as illegal loggers invade their land, pushing the tribe from Peru into Brazil. Last year, the Upper Amazon Conservancy found evidence of illegal logging while flying over the protected area.

  1. Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention!

This is just one type of the many situations that stir my passions and my Heart. It is a source of endless frustration to helplessly watch our world being destroyed for the sake of another dollar, another few board feet of lumber, another drop of oil or foot pound of gas. How can we just sit by and watch? Yet, what is there that we can really do? Sign another petition? (Yes, I did sign the petition that is going to be sent to Peruvian President Garcia on this matter.) Do the petitions really make a difference?

As usual, I end up in meditation – which is a good place to be to lend a helping hand, or shall we say a helping Heart. While the petitions, rallies, letters, and phone calls are all good and necessary if we are drawn to pursue them, meditation is something we can all do anonymously, without risk, and perhaps with better results. Meditation is the only place in the world where true democracy can be found. When one meditates, one can address the whole of the collective consciousness of this planet, or just one person. There is no censorship. There are only the Laws of the Universe to guide us through our Hearts.

I would ask all who read the article on these people to consider signing the petition for President Garcia and consider meditating on the subject. We can send these people our Love and Support, as well as those who are in better positions to be more hands-on in helping them. We can also address our concerns directly to President Garcia and the loggers themselves through our meditative channels.

We can make differences in our world, especially for those who need assistance. These people obviously need our help, as does the rest of the forest population who are losing their homes to logging efforts. Mother Earth and all who dwell here with her are in a daily battle for survival. It is but another call to action for those of us who have the Heart to respond. We cannot give up.

  2. How beautiful that people like this still exist… A clear reminder of the movie ‘Avatar’. People who in their technology deprived existence still appreciate the natural beauty and resources that Mother Earth has to offer. I can only imagine the fear & helplessness that they must feel. I will sign a petition as well as offer my heart’s prayers for these newly discovered brothers & sisters of ours. Unity, love, peace and caring…

  3. Great parallel, Gitana! The movie “Avatar” is a wonderful depiction of an indigenous people who are still very much in tune with their planet. We could learn so much from the indigenous peoples on our own planet! This scenario with this particular tribe also remind me of the movie “Medicine Man” (with Sean Connery). In the case of this movie, it was not only the people who were losing their homes, but plants, animals, insects, etc. were being destroyed – some of which were the keys to a cure for cancer. And, to think these things happen every day around the world……………
