Looking at life through the mind of a scientist that can break down our existence to the cell and molecule level is amazing ~ At the same time it makes me wonder, as this video points out, if such a scientist as Stephen Hawking is experienced in life outside of science ..such as through spirituality ~ Stephen said in his last book that the Universe can create itself based on scientific knowledge alone ~ On the other hand some scientists do bring science and spirituality together which I feel is important ~
The universe works with perfection ~ This cannot be coincidental ~ The beauty of nature is miraculous ~ This cannot be luck ~ There must be something, some divine power or force that created such perfection ~
Thanks for your great comment, Coralina. I thought this was an interesting video and representation of Hawking’s work. In years past, I have had respect for some of his work. However, in more recent years, he has been seemingly becoming more and more “out there” in his views. I recently read an article in which he essentially cited that all “aliens” are bad and will be the end of humanity if we allow them to contact us. Of course, that is certainly not correct.
The concern with Hawking’s line of thought – and other scientists who agree with it – is that their opinions are so strongly adhered to by those who do not know the field of science or the field of spirituality, yet are in positions of power in this world. Look what has happened to Bill Gates. Mr. Gates knows computers and software to be sure. But, by what expertise does he feel he has the right or the obligation to use the power of his money to force vaccinations upon people, even when they are unaware of what is actually being done to them?
It is this type of influence that is of concern. We must all be responsible with our opinions – no matter how learned we are. And, we must all be responsible for those opinions we accept that will change and even define our lives.
