Hands Across the Sand is a global event that will take place today, June 26th at 11:00am you time zone ~
If you want to make a statement for clean energy and no to off shore drilling – you can by following these steps:
STEP 1
Go to your beach at 11 AM in your time zone for one hour, rain or shine.
STEP 2
Join hands for 15 minutes at 12:00 forming lines in the sand against oil drilling in our coastal waters.
STEP 3
Leave only your footprints.
Hands Across The Sand is endorsed by national and international environmental organizations including Sierra Club, Audubon, Surfrider, Oceana, Greenpeace, Defenders of Wildlife, Alaska Wilderness League, Ocean Conservancy, Friends of the Earth, Environment America, 350, MoveOn.org, Center for Biological Diversity and CleanEnergy.org ~
It is a movement made of people of all walks of life and crosses political affiliations.
It is simple. Any person can go to the handsacrossthesand.org website and sign up to organize a beach or city – drawing a line in the sand and embrace a clean energy future ~
Blessings, Peace and Love ~ Coralina ~
I forgot to add that the founder of Hands Across the Sand is Dave Rauschkolb – a surfer and the owner of 3 restaurants on the beach in Seaside, Florida, located on the northern Gulf Coast between Pensacola and Panama City~
I know Johannes likes to perform in that area and knows how beautiful the white sandy beaches are as well as D.E. member Sherry who lives there ~ I will be thinking of you today while I walk the sands of my local beach and join hands ~ Blessings ~ Coralina ~

Hey Coralina…wow, thanks for sharing this video. As soon as I saw the white sand I thought “that looks like Seaside.” I performed in Seaside and had the honor of teaching yoga right on that very beach. I was amazed at how beautiful and pristine the beach was. I hope it remains so…
Blessings,
Johannes
Thank you, Johannes, for sharing your connection to Seaside for I remember you brought your beautiful music and yoga spirit to those very lovely sandy white beaches ~
I too hope the beaches will look just as pristine next time you visit Seaside ~ It looks like a very special and sacred place ~
The Hands Across the Sand was very successful here and it seems all the major beaches in my area of San Diego organized a gathering ~ The energy and love of our oceans from the gathering of hearts touched my soul ~
The founder of Hands Across the Sand actually was inspired many months before the gulf oil disaster .. in October of last year when the administration stated it would open up off shore drilling 3 to 10 miles off the coast of Florida ~ The oil spill only fueled the fire to do whatever possible to stop legislation to more off shore drilling ~
Have a wonderful concert this Sunday Johannes! Tomorrow, I will include a special meditation on the powerful life-force in our lives – our oceans, lakes and seas ~
Blessing and Love ~ Coralina ~
A beautiful way to address a very serious issue and get the point across — Thanks Coralinni for sharin’ w/ us and taking part in such an amazing event ~ May our voices be heard!!
Thank you so much Yannaki and All Around the World News ~ The oil from the spill continues to gush into the gulf today – so may the voice of Hands Across the Sand be heard to protect the pretty beaches that Johannes walked along of Seaside and all the other beaches that are our gifts from Mother Nature ~
Peace and Loving Kindness ~ Coralina ~
Thank you for posting this, it’s so close to home. I live on sunnyside beach which is about 10 min. away from seaside, a resort community. I love seaside, so much creative energy flows through there.I was blessed to meet Johannes there and attend his classes on the beach.
I wasn’t able to attend the Hands event on fri. due to my work schedual. I did however walk the beach at seaside on thursday. It saddend me deeply to see the tar balls floating in the shorline, just like in my home beach a few miles away.
May that voice be heard! Stop the drilling!
Thank you, dear Sherry, for sharing your first hand experience with Divine Earth and us all on the oil spill~ I can see from the video how very lovely your beaches are .. What a crime that the tar has reached your white sandy shores ~
I hope you can feel our love and support for you and your community .. and your struggle to keep your beaches clean have touched countless hearts here and around the world ~
May the next time Johannes visits your beaches – it will look just as beautiful (after the clean up) as the last time you saw Johannes/Sevara and experienced the soul of Sevara Yoga ~
May the Hands Across the Sands message ripple across the gulf and nation and world ..hopefully leading to greater environmental policies to prevent such a disaster as the gulf oil spill from ever happening again ~
Bless our planet – All Love ~ Coralina ~
