One more note of interest from Hiroshima’s performance ~ The newest member of the band, Shoji Kameda performed a solo piece that channeled sounds from ancient and mysterious times and places ~
I found this video that Shoji performed the same piece with his other band, Ensemble, that he performed with Hiroshima at Anthology ~ Peace, brother and sisterhood and love ~ Coralina ~
I love the throat singing. It amazes me how they can produce two tones at once. Great addition to DE – gracias!
I was mesmerized by the throat singing Johannes! ~ The performance instantly struck a cord within me and reminded me of the chants of Buddhist monks at temple ceremonies I have attended ~
Along with Joh, i too am blown away how they can produce these tones as well — takes a great amount of skill to control the vocal cords like that!! :O :O
~ Also reminds me of the buddhist monks as well — and from meditation music i have listened to while practicin’ Zen ~ Amazing!!
thnx Coralinni for this awesome little musical journey u’ve taken us ~ 😀 😀
