Bill Moyers: Scott Pruitt Will Make America Great Again for Polluters

A must watch – Bill Moyers discussing the current cabinet nomination of Scott Pruitt as head of the Environmental Protection Agency and its implications.

Scott Pruitt has been a vocal adversary “public enemy #1” against the environment, a climate change denier who has spent much of his time challenging environmental protections and has sued the EPA numerous times on regulations. He does not believe in the science of climate change primarily fueled by human-initiated carbon emissions and the current state of affairs with our global environment.

Do we want, this man, to lead a governmental environmental agency…who has no background in climatology and scientific, health and regulatory experience, who persistently sued the EPA numerous times – who built his political career out of knocking out environmental protections, who rejects the science behind anthropogenic climate change and its consequences, and who himself said during a recent Senate commitee hearing, “his personal opinion on climate change is immaterial…”

Protecting Earth from Asteroids ~ Space organizations recognize need for global cooperation

The discovery of an asteroid the size of a large sports stadium, Apophis, drew much public attention to space in recent years. Here is an update on Apophis from space.com

Also, in 2013 a meteor caused by a near Earth asteroid exploded over Russia with no advanced warning ~ It exploded with the force of 20 to 30 atomic bombs but far enough in the atmosphere, 18 miles, to spare lives but did cause over 1,000 injuries. (Reference Wikipedia Chelyabinsk meteor)
These cases, among many others, bring greater attention for the need of an effective international space program to find ways to protect Earth from near Earth objects~

Congress releases 28 classified pages on alleged Saudi 9/11 link

Saudi Arabia’s link to the 9/11 hijackers has been questioned since that tragic day in American history through 9/11 investigations ~ For 13 years, 28 pages of the government’s official 9/11 commission report has been classified from the public by the Bush administration. Government officials that have been privy to read the 28 pages have urged Congress to release the classified pages and this month approved its release ~
