In light of Trump’s newest measure signed on Thursday yesterday to remove the regulations on coal mining industries dumping toxic coal debris and mining waste products into the waterways. (which is extremely disturbing and has got me very upset) Here is a recent article about this very controversial reversal of environmental policies…Just unbelievable –

Saving coal workers jobs and the coal industry is an extremely complex challenge that Trump made as part of his promise to help save American jobs ~ Trump has talked about his plan to pursue “clean coal” technology that is environmentally conscious and so this recent news that Trump has killed a rule restricting coal companies from dumping waste in streams seems contrary to his promise to pursue “clean” methods to the environment ~ Thank you, Yannaki, for sharing this article and as new policies are unfolding daily, may Trump and his advisors see the need to correct this very harmful misstep in his plans to help save coal worker jobs ~ Allowing dumping waste in streams does not help save jobs ~ The transition from coal to alternative sources of energy internationally is the greater challenge the coal industry faces as well as the high cost of “clean coal” technology ~

    (“Clean Coal” – Coal is the most polluting form of fossil fuel but it can be burned in such a way that the carbon dioxide it releases doesn’t enter the atmosphere. That process is called carbon capture and storage, or CCS.)
