I could get into an accident and have that part of my brain damaged. Then who would I be? I know I am beyond just a simple faculty of my brain. You are not you because of your possessions, relationships, or occupation. You are not you because of the language you speak, or the colour of your skin, or the skills you have developed. This is too basic, too mundane. You are certainly not your fears. Go deeper into who you are.
