Interests, hobbies, and favorite things

Growing up on a flower farm in a small beach town, my first loves are love of flowers, nature and the beach. I started as early as grammar school in taking long nature walks with my childhood girl friend who also rode and raised horses ~ Across the street from our farm was a large canyon...now all covered with houses..but in my childhood we would walk to the lake in the middle of this canyon almost daily...and even discover small Indian artifacts along the way ~ and nature walks along the beach have become part of my being ...

Art was my next love when I discovered I could draw ....My first art recognition was from my first grade teacher who gave me the solo assignment of drawing a Christmas mural with pastel chalk for our classroom ....I remember I was embarrassed when they called my sister into my classroom to see my drawing ...my sister was in the sixth grade at the time ....

Later in life I combined these two interest when I worked for the Natural History Museum as an artist...working with museum curators for scientific accuracy. I have a degree in Art from the University of California, Berkeley ~

On my spiritual side, I also love to read books by spiritual guides and authors ...I am fortunate that the home and ashram of one of the great spiritual leaders is located in my home town and was part of my life from childhood to this day ...the Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda ..

Music, without saying, has always been a tremendous part of my life. Through the spirit of so many talented artist, (Johannes/Sevara being number one) I embrace every emotion of life deeply and passionately ~

Too many other interests to name them all ....

Personal Statement

I embrace the blessing of connecting to creative, talented, compassionate and spiritual souls. My wish is that through our exchange in this forum ... we will enrich each others lives ...share and grow spiritually and contribute to the Divine Earth's heartfelt causes through our conversations ...by heightening awareness to the community of these vital issues of protecting Mother Earth and along the way, nourishing our spirits and embracing the beauty of life and one another ~
