sauna yoga

Growing in popularity around my community are yoga studios that offer a combination of sauna and yoga ~ They conduct a complete yoga workout in special sauna rooms ~ The sauna yoga rooms reach temperatures of 98.6 degrees F - body temperature at the Synergy Yoga Center which is located near the Yogananda's Self Realization temple ~ The sessions last one and a half hours so the body has time to thoroughly cleanse itself of toxins and at the same time benefit from a complete yoga exercise workout ~

Another popular local yoga site for sauna yoga is Yoga Tropics - There the rooms reach temperatures of 105 degrees ~ These classes are not for beginners for there are plenty of other yoga classes around town more suited to beginner needs ...for passing out is not the path toward achieving enlightenment and spiritual fulfillment!

These sauna yoga classes leave you with a feeling of cleansing and renewal ...an outlet for maintaining and improving physical, emotional and spiritual wellness ~ Perhaps this is a technique you have experienced or have available in your communities!

Sauna Yoga - great for mind, body & soul ~

Awesome Coralinni!! - a great bloggie u share w/ Divine Earth! --- da beneficial effects of "Sauna Yoga" - great idea!!

Dat right!! -- it's proven dat da generation of sweat cleans out our bodies from da harmful toxins dat can accumulate through da day --- as well as cleanse da spirit as da mind goes deeper into those blissful states of consciousness n' becomes still --- a great way to improve concentration n' focusin' on bein' present at all times ~ YEA! YEA!

OOO! - speakin' of which -- there's another related form of yoga dat i just thought's of -- it's called "Bikram Yoga" --- invented by Indian Yoga guru "Bikram Choudhury" -- which also focuses on Yoga done at temps at 105-108 degrees F. w/ a humidity of about 40% or so for 90 mins ~ w/ an emphasis on Asana postures (about 26 in total) ~

And dat right Coralinni! -- about passin' out!! -- As da great Buddha discovered -- bein' an ascetic (individuals to suffer da extremes - self-starvation, extreme cold or heat...etc...) does not bring one closer to the Ultimate Reality - closer to the Infinite, one w/ the universe - One finds the Enlightenment somewhere in between (The Middle Way) ~ So make sure u don't hold yer breath while meditatin'!! -- allow to breathe freely n' naturally.........and to disappear deep into existence ~ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........

~ Peace, Love, Joy ~

cleansing out toxins

Interesting Yannaki about Bikram Yoga ~ One of the guides at the Synergy Yoga center mentioned that their yoga looks like Bikram Yoga but it is not ~ I think one of the differences is that Bikram Yoga is more intense while Synergy offers a mild version with less intense heat ~

Yes - it is important to breathe ...be very focused on what your body is feeling for it is meant to be a rewarding experience - cleansing the mind, spirt and body!
