The role of leaders, media, and us

The following is my response to ForestSpirit Queens's comment to the issue of Desmond Tutu speech being banned at St Thomas University. I decided to create this as a separate post as I am sure it will create some controversy and debate.

ForestSpiritQueen wrote "I pray that leaders will teach love to all people. Well this certainly in a controversial issue. I do believe in freedom of speech however I do not think a leader should be hurting anyone of any nationality, religious denomination or color of person. Leaders should be upbuilding to everyone. Students look up to leaders and ideas can sometimes be formulated by the ideas they hear in seminars. The Jewish people have suffered so greatly I would not like to see them hurt anymore. I have seen may films on how Jewish people were treated by Hitler. I can hardly believe that they were ever treated so unjustly by another human. I pray that the leaders of today, the teachers of tomorrow will preach love and kindness to all." [slightly edited]

My response:

You are right, leaders should be uplifting and protect the rights of their people and ALL people. But this is exactly what Tutu was doing when he was criticizing Israel, for they routinely abuse basic human rights. Just because they suffered under Hitler does not absolve them when they commit crimes against others. If we keep turning a blind eye and making excuses for people because they suffered in the past then that is not justice. Justice is examining the facts and passing an informed judgement on those facts as being either right or wrong. And this must not be swayed because of events that occurred over 60 years ago.

If you want to talk about suffering, did you know that 100 MILLION Christians were murdered in the USSR under Marxism between 1917-1945? Many of the Marxists came to Russia in 1917 from New York after Jacob Schiff, the anti-Christian banker who owned The Guaranty National Trust, the largest bank in the United States, financed Lenin and Trotsky the sum of $35 million for the Red Revolution which lead to the mass killing of these Christians. To my knowledge there has not been a movie about this holocaust.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but the truth is that the media is dominated by Jewish and pro-Zionist writers, journalists, directors, and TV such as CNN. This is fact. Google it and do your own research so you are informed. How can one remained unbiased with ultra-biased news feeds in America? Therefore I can understand that people feel the way they do about the need to go to war, etc. But what we all should not accept is our accepting with blind faith what the media tell us. Mainstream journalist are not well-informed in the truth. They are merely parrots repeating information that has been fed to them though careful dissemination. Here's how it works. The presidents arranges a press conference, journalists from all over attend, the president (or his press secretary) reads off a speech, the journalist write it down, they then go back to their desk at the office, type it up, and viola! it's in the newspaper the next day. There's no inquiry, no verification, just a bunch of parrots repeating what the government wants them to repeat. And this goes on all over the world.

Fortunately we have alternatives that didn't exist ten plus years ago - the internet. What a blessing this has been for people who do not want to to be brainwashed with the regurgitations the mainstream media foist upon us. Alternative news sources like Rense (rense.com) can now provide us with the news the mainstream doesn't want to tell.

Let it be known that I am a conspiracy theorist. I don't trust everything I read. I take two steps back, analyze, use logic, investigate opposing thoughts, and come to my own conclusions. This is why I down own a TV. And this is also why I don't follow any specific religion. My religion needs no name, no organization, no priests, no hierarchy, just wisdom expressed through the heart. I have learned more from the trees and the animals than I can possibly learn through any holy book.

This is what my work here at Divine Earth is all about. To share, as you all do, news that we might not otherwise read, to express different points of view, to find ways that we can help shape our collective future, and to encourage all of you to be free-thinking individuals. But none of this matters unless it is experienced through the heart.

A different approach

You bring up a lot of good points. You are correct when human right are being violated a leader must bring this up however it will bring contra verse. Therefore some institutions will not let the leader speak if this is against there policies. You must also look at who the major backers are of the institution. All institutions are businesses first and foremost. The speaker will know this all before the words are spoken. Sometimes this is the price that is paid to speak the words and that is just life. Life is not always just. However if the speaker feels that bringing the facts to the table is worth the consequences then he/she will. This is just how business is done in the world. I hate to say it but it is a bit of a game of give a take. However if you go with the theory from a love prospect then your words can sometimes be heard by more people. However you must chose your words carefully as you can only speak them once and burn a bridge once (these are the underlying factors of my comment). If anyone is not happy with an instructions policies then I think that writing a letter is an excellent way to express that to them. I think that they would appreciate to hear what people think.

I realize that you are not being harsh. I do know that many Christian have suffered greatly also. I personally know many who have suffered for there beliefs. I have heard there stories many firsthand and I am well educated on these facts. However I realize you could not know this as you do not know we that well.

You are correct that the journalist will speak from his/her own point of view that is just how human nature works. I do my own research and know that everyone speaks from there own perspective. “I never accept anything anyone tells me with blind faith; I do question everything and everyone”. I think you are a very wise man to do this I do this also. Yes you are correct that the internet is a blessing because we can research a subject from many perspectives and have a broader knowledge of a subject matter. Thank-you for letting me know about rense.com this sound like an interesting website. More resources are always appreciated as I am not a big TV news watcher myself.

I am glad to hear that you are a conspiracy theorist. I think this is an excellent way to be. I respect the bible greatly and I respect the people that base there life around it. Everyone has the right to run there life the way they want to. I have personally found it a useful tool. I believe that many people are as you are with there own belief system and that works well for them. So good for you and I respect you greatly for that. I am glad that you have learned so much from the trees and animals. This is an excellent place to learn from and I have learned much from them myself.

I like the fact that you mentioned that divine earth is a place to share “different” points of view because that is what makes it interesting. There are many different ways to look at a situation and sometimes we have to use different carefully planned strategic to bring us the best results. I do not expect to always have the same point of view as you however I always respect what you have to say. This does not however mean that I do not support you and respect you. You know I do.

I will also keep this in mind foremost that it is you Johannes that is standing up there on the stage in front of many people that are reading this website so I will never say anything on here that could put you in harms way. USA is one of your major areas of business and it is not always as safe there as we might like with the number of people that owns guns. I will always put your safety first no matter how much I want to make a point.

With greatest respect and lots of unconditional love. Thank you for your reply to my comment.

Good!

A very intelligent response, ForestSpiritQueen! You are absolutely correct that one can burn a lot of bridges by saying things that the establishment, politicians, or corporate world do not want exposed to the public at large. Historically, this has been true in countless example, from Martin Luther King who was assassinated, to those who protested witch burnings who ended up being accused themselves. But this is the blessing of the times that times are indeed changing. Although far from perfect, people - even powerful people - are now bing held accountable for their actions. This began for the first time in history in 1946 during the Nuremberg trials. No longer was the excuse "I was merely obeying orders" accepted. Individuals were held accountable for their complicity in the deaths of their victims. This was the first clue that a new age was emerging...the Age of Aquarius. As this new age unfolds the old paradigms will lose their structure. Knowledge is no longer hidden and available to a chosen few. Knowledge now is available to everyone. For example, Kung Fu once was only taught within a brotherhood. As the shift came about it was taught more openly, but only to people Chinese blood. But since the 1970's all have been welcomed to learn. And of course today we have the internet which make information available to anyone with access to a computer. But to keep the momentum going we must all exercise our rights to knowledge, to understanding the world economy and government, and of course, freedom of speech. If we do not exercise these rights, believe me, politicians will be more than happy to take them away. Think Homeland Security and Big Brother. I don't want that to be the future of the world, therefore I will take the necessary risks to bring facts, knowledge, and truth to as any people as I can. Divine Earth...this is the name of our website, but it is more than that. It is a concept, a vision and a belief. As previously mentioned we are entering a new age. I believe it is truly possible to experience the divine right here on earth. If we direct our energies in a benevolent and enlightened way together we can manifest a future in which we honour the planet, share the world's resources, and love one another as brothers and sisters.

Love

You message is one that speaks to my heart I do want all to be able to live on this earth in love and peace as brothers and sisters. This is something that I have believed since I was a child. I do believe that if we bring out facts in a positive enlightened way this website can help not just us but the public at large. You are a man that has great love in your heart for all and I am sure with your wisdom and kind hand you will be able to lead the discussions in a positive upbuilding way that will be enlightening for all. I know this will not always be easy but you will be able to do it with grace and class.

Please remember that if I might say something different from what you are saying it is just because we come from different background. We all do on this website that is what makes in interesting. When I say something always remember that I do have great respect for you and unconditional love. I would never hurt you intentionally I just have my own mind and own ideas. I believe that meaningful discussions can be educational for all and help us to understand were the other person is coming from.

Personally I believe that love and kindness is the way to bring about change in this world. If mankind would all focusing on ways to show love and kindness to each other there would be no war. If we treat each other as we want to be treated then this world would be a great place. If we were all spiritually enlighten, did not show jealousy or hatred to each other, or use hurtful words to try to make ourselves appear better that others or just to hurt them what a wonderful place this earth could be. Imagine walking around in a world were we could only feel the positive energy from each other. This is what I am working towards on my spiritual path. I would love to see the flowers, the trees, all of nature’s creatures running freely for us to play with. This is my idea of what the world should be like. I think the way to move forward to this world is through unconditional love and kindness. What do you think?

similar thoughts

As soon as I read ForestSpiritQuuen's response to the issue of Desmond Tutu, Sevara, I have many of the same feelings and thoughts you share with us ~

I feel I understand your clarification on this topic Sevara - I also think her response was missing the point of the Tutu blog ~ We all know that the Jewish people have suffered greatly and that was not the issue in the blog. The point was that a great and compassionate man like Tutu has been unfairly portrayed to say harsh things against the Jewish people when in fact all he did was point out some truths of how powerful the Jewish lobby is and so forth ~

"The Zionist Organization of America has criticized the speech (Tutu's speech) and said that in it, Tutu compared Israel to Hitler. But a transcript of the speech raises questions about that interpretation."

The transcripts show Tutu never made this comparison and have twisted Tutu's words ~

The Jewish influence in America is undeniable and the large media networks and newspapers, just like Sevara pointed out, are dominated by their influence - The New York Times for example has many Jewish writers and movie and television industry, directors, writers, news programs such as CNN and so forth ...

And your quote, Sevara - "If you want to talk about suffering, did you know that 100 MILLION Christian were murdered in the USSR under Marxism between 1917-1945?"

This is very true and like you said ... no one has made movies about this in the west ... I had the opportunity to visit Russia (Moscow and St Petersburg) and and visited many of the historical places that revealed the history of these massive holocaust of non-Jews that most people outside of Russia never talk or knew about ~ Their numbers (deaths) were much greater than those of the Jewish camps but no one has made this pubic or made movies about it because Russians do not control our media ~

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

thinks that can be done

I believe that my comment was from a more global perspective and not just about this particular article. As might happen quite frequently an article can spin off into more global type issues.

You need to be careful how your word things! It seems that you have done a lot of great research but the facts can be lost if things are not carefully worded and your motive does not appear to be love for all.

I think that writing letters is a great idea if you are upset about an issue. Other things that you can do are call the public relations department of the school in question or the television network that is not making the public aware of the issues you feel are important. If you feel an issue needs to be brought to the public in greater detail then YOU can yourself make a film about it. There are lots of students studying film making that you could likely get to help you for free near to your home. Who know who you might meet! Then you can try to get a network to play it if this does not work you can place it on Utube or the internet yourself or if Divine Earth agrees link it to this website. It all about taking action yourself!

Sevara's picture

Good idea

I think it's a good idea to make little movies that one can post on YouTube. I have found so much useful information on that site. What we need to be careful of is that we don't get attached to negative emotions. As ForestSpiritQueen mentions, everything must vibrate love. If we are bringing certain negative aspects of reality to light, we must counter it by planting an opposite vibration that will encourage and manifest positive changes.

Yannaki's picture

Correction.....

Ur words to Coralina,

"You need to be careful how your word things!"

Actually's, from what me see's goin' on, me believe dat Coralinni said nothin' dat was untruthful and understands the facts perfectly --- in fact i agree w/ what Coralinni has said about ur misunderstandin' da Tutu blog ---

ForestSpiritQueen, let's not go down da path of negativiy......instead of focusin' on dat, let us all follow da path towards peace & love ---- for dat is what this world needs most of all --- Let us all respect each others opinions and not let our emotions to take control of our own hearts ~

~ Peace, Love, Joy ~

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

idea

Yannaki I was just thinking of this on my way home from dance class today. I don’t know how close you and Coralina live to each other but as your passions seems to be on the same lines many times. It would be amazing to see some short clips by both of you done together. Two such artistic people I am sure could make a major impart on the world and there views. Just an idea you might like it or not.

Have a nice day

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

thank you for you point of view

Let me clarify what I am saying here as there seems to be some misunderstanding Yannaki. My goal is for everyone to succeed because we are a group all working for the improvement of humankind. I want everyone to success that has love in there heart. From my perspective there was no emotion involved nor was what I said negative or without love. I was not even talking about what was said about Tutu there were a lot of great facts displayed. I am on the path of peace and love however I do not know why you are seeing something different. Perhaps it is because you have close relationship to Coralina and I think that is great however I hope you will be open to letting new members into this circle.

I hope you can open your heart to the fact that some woman will want to empower other woman to success. To succeed we need to make sure that everything is in a positive light. That is all I was saying. Let me ask you this when a member is stating there opinion about how they feel about another member comment would it not show more love and be more kind to address that member? Would this not get better results?

Here again I will mention that my comment was moving to a more global perspective of thought. I see thing from that type of light. I appreciate your comment on your point of view and know that it come from your heart as you are quite fond of Coralina. I wish you peace and look forward to seeing many interesting posting by you.

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

Hello

Please read my response to Sevara as you seem to be saying much the same thing as he is. I hope you will find it interesting.

Coralina's picture

yes

I did read your response to Sevara, ForestSpiritQueen ~ I felt Sevara's words did bring you closer to deeper internal conversations and found it interesting ~

That is a gift of Sevara - through his understanding of people and the world ... he can bring peace in the heart without compromising his principles of justice ~

There are many times Sevara will bring up a subject that I instantly feel a connection to and wish to share my similar experiences with him ~ Of course we all have are own views and opinions on life and the world ...but so many times Sevara will say things that strike a deep cord inside of me - a rare connection from one spirit to another ~ It is something hard to explain in words but I feel Sevara knows exactly what I am trying to say ~

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

the great thing is ....

The great thing is that I think you will find as this website grows that you will find this type or other special connections with many people. I do agree that Sevara is a special person that has a lot of love and wisdom to share. He can do this because he can make that connection with many.

Sevara's picture

Balance

The point is that all races/countries/religions have had their share of persecution and suffering at some point in history under the force of their oppressors. No one can claim that the Jews have not suffered, but as I have said, Christians, too, have suffered. So have Buddhists, so have Muslims, so have Native Americans. The sickness lies in the mind of man. All the messiahs and holy books that have existed over the centuries have not created any peace, in fact quite the contrary. Countless wars in the name of religion have wreaked so much damage and shamelessly murdered millions upon millions of people. For what? I just want mankind to wake up and realize he is in an insane cycle that goes on repeating itself, day after day, year after year, millennia after millennia.

Our work here must be to create a higher vibration, to ignite the consciousness of mankind with our own Buddha field, Christ consciousness, or whatever you want to call it, and elevate and be "upbuilding" as ForestSpiritQueen put it. Each of us are a seed that plants a vibration into the Divine Matrix of the Universe. The beauty of that seed depends on our own development in consciousness. Just as Hitler planted a hideously ugly seed that corrupted a entire nation, we can each be a Divine seed that uplifts, heals, spreads joy, peace, and love amongst mankind. But to be in that state, to vibrate that energetic life-affirming field, we must have purged our lower selves. We must over come negative desires, greed, hate, anger. These are all low life-negating vibrations.

Fortunately there are methods that can assist us in our journey to self discovery. Being aware and observing our reactions to things assists in giving us a deeper understanding the mind and its tendencies. From there we can use meditation, yoga, qigong, to bring us to a higher state where we can experience the depths of our Atma or soul. Only when we have reached a higher vibration can we be a blessing to this world and fellow human beings. Only then will the seed we plant be a gift and a blessing to not just this planet, but the entire universe. We have evolved enough physically, mentally, and technologically. The next stage of our evolution my be spiritually, to go inward and make the ultimate discovery: we are not this body.

Coralina's picture

higher vibration

Thank you Seva for once again you bring a consciousness of beauty and light ~

The world will continue to struggle with all the ills of corrupt nations and people - that will not end in our life time ~

But the example you give by living by your truths with love and healing thoughts - that is a true blessing and I take your words into my being and heart ~

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

This is what I want to hear from you

This is what I want to hear from you. You know this. I understand how mediation and yoga will bring us to this higher level. Can you elaborate on how qigong can do this? I have not tried this yet! Yes spiritual grown is what mankind needs at this time. I have made the discovery that I am not just a physical person, a woman, a business woman, a dancer, an artist I am much more however no matter how spiritually evolved we are there is always room to grow and that is why I am hear.

PS I am sorry that I need to write in the evening when I am tired as my position is quite a busy one I will try my best with the spelling

Chinese yoga

Just think of qigong (chi kung) as Chinese yoga. It involves deeply relaxing the body, focus on breath, gentle physical movements, and focusing the intention of the mind to absorb, develop and move life force energy, or chi, throughout the organs, bloods, bones, and cells. Life force energy, also known as prana in yoga, is what sustains and animates the body, trees, the earth, the heavens, and the universe.

ForestSpiritQueen's picture

Qigong

It is funny how the universe is guiding me. The day after you mentioned this word I took a walk at lunch time to calm myself down as I was very upset about what you said to me on this website after you saw my note about love on your posting and how I wish that leaders messages could be upbuilding for all. Well I know that they can not always be because some evil people must be exposed. However I do not like to think of this as I enjoy walking around feeling nothing but love, peace and bliss. I decided to walk the other direction this time and right beside my work there is a qigong school. The funny thing is I have been looking for such a course for a few years in Toronto and have not really been able to find one that is ongoing. It seems that there are allot of one day course but nothing fuller. It does not seem to be as mainstream as you might think. By the way I do not want to be fighting with you about anything this just seems to be against all the forces of nature and the universe. I realize that this information about spiritual growth might not have been just for me as I enjoy reading posting that have positive energy within them also but I find it very usefully. Thank-you and hopefully others will benefit it also.

Sevara's picture

I understand

I understand that sometimes we just want to turn off and forget all the negativity that is in the world and live in our own harmony. We absolutely have the right to do so. However, the suffering of others continues to exist whether or not we turn a blind eye to it or not. The key is to "be in this world, but not of it". This means we do not get attached to the suffering, nor do we get attached to anything. We remain in the neutral mind which is a state of bliss.

Yesterday I watched a horrible video on the cruelty towards dolphins that occurs in Japan. It was so sickening that I wouldn't even post it here on DE. It really shocked me and deeply saddened me that humans could be so cruel and heartless. But I cannot be attached to this. What I can do, now that I am aware of this, is plant a seed of love that these fisherman will be guided towards compassion and act more humanely. And this is the same for the politicians. By being aware of their actions we can direct and focus our intentions on guiding them towards love, forgiveness, and compassion.

Perhaps you have heard of the Buddhist term "bodhisattva". "Bodhi" means enlightenment and "Sattva" means a state of being in Sanskrit. The role of a Bodhisattva is to bring all sentient beings to an elevated state of compassion and inner peace: to become a Buddha. Despite how evil anyone may seem, within them, in their very essence, is Buddha nature; a divine, blissful, compassionate, infinite, cosmic soul existing beyond time and space. A Bodhisattva will help encourage all beings to remember their infinity, grace, and pure essence.

The bliss I talk about

“I understand that sometimes we just want to turn off and forget all the negativity that is in the world and live in our own harmony” No actually this comment is quite far from my reality. But here again I realize that it is just because you do not really know me yet. As you explain your goals I can not believe how close they are to my own, that of my family and the people we know and love. You see the reality of the situation is that from the age of 4 years old I have been enlightening people about world conditions. I am not turning a blind eye at all in fact I would be one of the most enlightened persons you know on these issues and the issues that are to come in the future.

The key is to "be in this world, but not of it". Yes I agree with this whole heartedly and this is one of the bases of my life and existence. Just because the word has many people that have the love of money, hatred for others and only love for themselves I will never be a part of this world. That is just not who I am. But I do know there are many good people in the world that base there life on love and kindness these are the people I will be with. I know that I am very sensitive to other people’s energies and my intuition will let me know many things about that I might not want to know.

“This means we do not get attached to the suffering, nor do we get attached to anything. We remain in the neutral mind which is a state of bliss”. This is closer to the state of mind that I am in this is the bliss that I am talking about. I think that woman like myself are different from men. In our chemical makeup and as we are nurtures we might find it harder to detach from the suffering and sufferers. Maybe you could offer some ideas on this issue. I think this is an important issue as stress of this type is affecting many peoples health today very seriously and causing many premature deaths.
Being aware of their actions of the fishermen and directing or focus our intentions on guiding them towards love, forgiveness, and compassion seems like something that I would want to do. Thank-you for not putting that video on here! I still have a problem with the detachment and getting the things I see out of my mind and heart.

I have never heard of the Buddhist term “bodhisattva” before! I do not really know anything about this religion or the ideas it brings forth. This divine bliss I talk about when I say I am in a state of bliss is more of a spiritual bliss! It is a state of the heart! It is a spiritual experience that is brought about by having the angles so close to me. It is also the bliss I feel when I am in nature as I am a child of nature. Could you elaborate on this “cosmic soul existing beyond time and space.”
“A Bodhisattva will help encourage all beings to remember their infinity, grace, and pure essence.” This sounds like a wonderful person. Are you a Bodhisattva or are you moving towards this? Have you meet many Bodhisattva’s?
