"Itarashtam tithar Kashtam - empty handed you come, empty handed you go. It's a law which should never be broken. And you should (as a teacher) share freely, but never receive a student who comes empty handed - that's the law. If a person shall come empty handed, that person may sit here for six hours and do all kinds of yoga, but the moment he goes out of that door, he'll go empty handed. That's the only condition, and it's not up to you or me."
~ Yogi Bhajan

1. The discussion ~

The discussion ~

I could not help but hear Jenn's discussion ~ I don't want to be a budenski but ..If I may share a thought...maybe (her son) he might be interested in martial arts, like Sevara suggested ..because it seems a lot of young people are interested in ancient Asian arts...and without realizing it...it in turn introduces them to ancient spirital wisdom ~

Blessings and love ~ Coralina ~

2. Discussion

I don't mind Coralina. I was actually speaking with our new student who joined us today. That is a great idea and perhaps I'll extend the suggestion to my son as well.
Blessings and love

4. It's how we treat people - Kung Fu is everything~

That was a line from the new Karate Kid movie (It's really about Kung fu) - In this new version Jackie Chan's character is teaching Jaden Smith the "real" Kung Fu as opposed to the war-like violent Kung Fu his bully school mates learn from a ruthless instructor ~

As Mr. Han (Jackie Chan's character) says .. there are good teachers and bad teachers ~ So I wanted to share this Kung Fu insight as an after thought to my suggestion that martial arts might be a positive experience for a teen ...only if taught by a "good" teacher who understands the true nature of Karate or Kung Fu in the spiritual content and self defense ~

Blessings and peace ~ Coralina ~

5. Great set!

Awesome session for re-energizing and restoring balance - (stretchin') - thanks again Seva for guiding us with compassion and love ~ Ahhhhhhhhh ~ Needed that after feelin' particularly sluggish yesterday (reeal hyoomid weather here...ugh!) - and havin' not too good slumber last nite...Muchas Gracias!

Also -- dat eastern guitarra piece u played (dunno if it was improv) - was very haunting and beautiful ~ (def. felt somethin') ~

I noticed the last exercise - for relievin' tension n' calmin da nerves after shock - seems similar to zazen meditation pose ~ which im very familiar with....def. works wonders for me - reconnecting to a practice i have done for many months ~ These lighter exercises focused on maintaining calm and restoring serenity helps manage the symptoms i experience from time to time ~ the more strenous ones tend to aggravate things - :(

suggestion: a set for managing anxiety problems would be extremely helpful for me! ;) -

P.S. are u familiar w/ the kava herb? - ive tried it again after many months of not having it....since it made me nauseous (numbing my gut) - After visiting a friend of mine who has it in a tea....I've tried a sip.....afterwards.....it actually help calm me down a bit.....Hmmm.....guess i'll just go light on it! -
