Chain mail

Sevara's picture

I wrote this response to a friend who sent me one of those foolish chain emails...

"Beloved...why do you give power to such superstition? Do you realize that you are contributing to the insecurity of others by forwarding these sorts of emails to your friends? Think about it: some idiot with too much time on his/her hands sits in front of the computer creating these. Do really believe they have some sort of divine power to see to it that the universe/god/the banking system will provide anyone with money, love, or good luck? Stop giving your power to these people! Let your good deeds, your kindness, and your loving heart be the reward in itself. Your inner beauty, wisdom, and following your true path will be the catalyst for creating love and abundance in your life - not an email created by some prankster. The message says TRUST. Trust in your own light.

Not to be cruel, but to awaken you, do not send me any of these messages in the future. I am only interested in hearing what comes from your own heart."

1. This how my friend responded

"Until now, I had never actually thought of it the way you explain in this email. I realize now that you are right.

I am so glad you pointed this out to me. Sometimes it just takes someone to point out certain things in order to get us thinking, and evaluating the true sense of something. I am glad you sent me this email. I apologize if I upset you, or annoyed you with this email....now that I have seen the light; thanks to you. I will no longer send you these kinds of emails....or anyone else for that matter. So glad you shared your thoughts with me on this matter. Again sorry I forwarded this email. However if I had not, I would not have learned this special lesson you taught me. Even by email you inspire me!

With appreciation, Love, and Respect!"

2. stopping the chain ~

Ahhh! - not those chain emails!!

~ As both Coralinni n' Sevara say, these emails perpetuate a pattern of fear and insecurities that a lot of people give in to -- created by individuals who are bored and make poor use of their time which is precious. Instead, why not these individuals use their time for something productive and positive for a change? -

Too much superstition lies out there, and it does get quite annoying to get these in the email. Before i used to participate in these sent by my friends...but they started freakin' me out! -- So i decided not to give into them -- and instead go straight to the spam folder! ~ heh...

In Sevara's words...."Trust in your own light"

3. Articulate my feelings ~ amazing

Dear Sevara ~ You always amaze me in how eloquently, with ease and grace, your can articulate feelings that I struggle with inside ~

These types of emails that you speak of many times end with "forward this email to 10 of your friends for good luck" or something to that effect .. and have always made me cringe ~ I have never been able to find the right words to tell the senders of these unwanted and foolish emails to stop and how I really feel inside ~

Thank you for sharing your guidance, light and insight .. It was an act of kindness your gave your friend from your heart ~ Coralina from my heart~
