If anyone of you have a chance, check out this documentary - Manufactured Landscapes (http://www.onf-nfb.gc.ca/eng/collection/film/?id=53006.)
It is based on the work of Canadian photographer, Edward Burtynsky, who photographs large scale industrial landscapes around the world. The movie provides an insight into how industrialization and other human activities has transformed the natural landscapes into a “manufactured” landscape, illustrated by examples such as the construction of the Three Gorges Dam in China.
Great movie! And here’s a presentation given by Edward Burtynsky about his work if you are interested.
