This little guy was hanging around the backyard and was friendly enough to let me pick him up.

what a sweet picture
I raised a baby pigeon on my patio this summer from the egg. The parent did not visit much once the egg hatched. He was so sweet and innocent looking. He just looked up at me with those big black eyes in all his innocent baby faced love. They grow really fast. Then he flew away at the end of the summer but still visits on regular bases to snack on my herbs and baby tomatoes.
Beautiful Souls
What more can I say. A picture is worth more than a thousand words!
Namaste

BIRDIE!!!! BIRDIE!!!!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! -- dat iz sooooo SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!
Sevara is holdin' a sweet lil' pigeon in his hands!! - Such a good lil birdie!!!!!
As Yummy & Coralinni say, such a precious shot of two beautiful souls - for da creatures of nature are divine entities as well -- It brings a feeling of tender gentleness to my heart ~
Birds have always held a very sacred place in my heart - (Me remember's my precious canary "Pudgie" -- who would always sing such beautiful notes -- in loving memory....)
And there's dat one bird story dat still to this day brings tears of joy ~ when i saved da life of a poor lil' baby blue jay dat fell from a tree and plunged into our pool ---- I heard da lil blue jay splashin' about -- struggling for his life ---- that's when i made da run for da birdie........and leaped into da freezin' cold pool......clothes n' all ---- and rescued him w/ my hands wrapped around ~ for weeks i took very special care of da lil birdie -- until he was all grown up's ----- It was a sad moment for me....when it was time for da blue jay to go home into da wild ~i watched him flap his wings and perch on a branch......We looked at each other for the longest time - not wanting to leave - I could hear in my heart ---- he was saying to me......"Thank you for caring for me & saving my life......I will never forget you" -- we finally said our goodbyes ---- and the birdie ~ flew off into da distance with his other friends..........i'll miss him ~
Dat right! - let us take some time & have a moment cherishin' one of our most sacred of blessings --- Da Gift of Nature ~ YEA! YEA!
~ Peace, Love, Joy ~
