Very good information Chica!
All the more reason to encourage individuals to eliminate meat from their diet ... it's bad for human health and the way most of our meat is raised is bad for the environment.
Divine Earth posted a blog on 11/24/07 - Vegetarianism and the Environment. I added a comment "Heartless" listing the feed being fed to factory farmed animals.
I am not surprised at this finding at all. It is unfortunate that the beef industry (all meat industries of all types) are allowed to continue to produce unhealthy food and get away with it. The corporate giants of agriculture are responsible for crippling the "real farm, real agriculture" by claiming they are feeding the world .... oh yes they are indeed and genetically modifying the animal and human population at the same time ... not a good thing.
Want to get rid of the problem .... don't buy the product!
