finding the right solutions

I read the article from your link Yannaki and it is very disturbing and disheartening to see the public view shifting to more oil drilling as the solution to our rising gas prices - There are so many political deals and oil companies driven by greed and profit ...and other factors that are affecting our oil prices - But the public who is hurting from the high gas prices are vulnerable - and this vulnerability is being taken advanced by politicians who wish to push their agenda to drill for more oil no matter where as the answer!

The article shows the polls say there is an increase of public's willingness to drill even in our wildlife refuges such as in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge or even offshore drilling - which effects me deeply and sends nightmare images through my being of what our ocean coastline will look like if these policies are approved ...

The crisis does seem overwhelming and as Divine Earth pointed out in his important blog - even the Iraq war was and is about oil ~ Recently I have seen more and more stories about the Iraq war's hidden agenda to oil !!

People should not be made to feel so desperate for solutions and not be overwhelmed by the global picture to the point they forget there are many little things that can be done in our daily lives to help ~ For example I know many people that live long distances from their jobs. Their commute not only takes a big bite out of their paycheck but also adds to the heavy traffic on our roads ..and think about our air quality ~ Prayers for our future to find the right solutions to our oil crisis and at the same time keep Mother Earth beautiful and care and protect her ~ Blessings to all~
