A Mother's Day Wish
Submitted by Sevara on Sat, 05/10/2008 - 09:45.Divine Discontentment
Submitted by Sevara on Sat, 05/03/2008 - 10:20.If we want to make something of this life, to give it meaning, we must become graceful, blissful, compassionate, and aware. We must also then serve humanity and help in its upliftment.
Question of the week
Submitted by Sevara on Mon, 03/24/2008 - 22:15.As a result of a question posed to me by Divine Earth member G8WAY2U, I've decided that we need to stimulate or wisdom a little more deeply. Therefore, I will create a new forum entitled "Question Of The Week." Please email me a question for consideration by using the Private Message feature here on Divine Earth.
India...my journey
Submitted by Sevara on Fri, 02/08/2008 - 11:55.As many of you know I was in India for the last month. Now that I have returned, I find myself quite drained emotionally and spiritually, as I process all the sights and sounds that I took in. It was exciting to visit the land where the wisdom of thousands of years of history has been spread over the world through holy books, gurus, great tales, poetry, art, and music.

Submitted by Sevara on Tue, 01/01/2008 - 13:10.Meat in society Part II
Submitted by Sevara on Thu, 12/13/2007 - 11:53.One can still meditate and eat meat. One can be spiritual and eat meat. One can still love deeply and eat meat. One can still be a beautiful person and eat meat.
Meat in Society - Part I
Submitted by Sevara on Wed, 12/12/2007 - 11:32.You must understand, there are certain things that the establishment do not want to change, for it would undermine their control.
The role of leaders, media, and us
Submitted by Sevara on Sun, 10/14/2007 - 23:14.The following is my response to ForestSpirit Queens's comment to the issue of Desmond Tutu speech being banned at St Thomas University. I decided to create this as a separate post as I am sure it will create some controversy and debate.
Why nature is so important
Submitted by Sevara on Mon, 10/01/2007 - 11:42.In this modern world we find that we have so many distractions in our lives, so many things to keep us occupied and distracted. Things like computers, television, video games, DVDs tend to eat away at our down time, while the other necessities of survival like work, laundry, and raising a family take up the rest.
Homeland Insecurity
Submitted by Sevara on Mon, 08/27/2007 - 16:06.This is a bit of a vent from our recent road trip to Indiana regarding the border patrol.
It's Friday August 24th and I just picked up the guys in my group to head to Michigan City IN for our concert on Aug 25th. Things are going well and everyone is on time, we load up the gear and we're on our way to cross the border from Canada in to the US at Port Huron MI.
A small blessing
Submitted by Sevara on Mon, 07/30/2007 - 23:45.This evening I was crossing Spadina in the Chinatown section of downtown Toronto. In the middle of the street a dandelion clock (the white seed cluster) passed before me and I plucked it before it floated by. A street person happened to be walking slightly in front of me and I thought it would be nice to make a wish for him. At that moment he turned around and said "you caught that in mid-air?".
What is Awareness?
Submitted by Sevara on Sat, 07/21/2007 - 23:10.First, let us examine what awareness is not. Awareness is not stupidity, it is not clouded, unfocused thinking, and it is not limited by ego. Those who do not function with awareness are in the dimension of instinct and crude thoughts. Their actions are not graceful, and lack clarity and direction.
On Love
Submitted by Sevara on Mon, 07/16/2007 - 16:03.Someone asked me from where does my love come.
Those who are wise will not even attempt to use words to explain what love is. Words will always fall short of the experience and will limit that which is limitless. Words can be useful only to convey that which is known.
God, The Self, And The Spiritual Path
Submitted by Sevara on Sun, 07/15/2007 - 20:12.What is a spiritual path, what is the ultimate goal of walking a spiritual path, and what are the methods to attain that goal? To be on a spiritual path means actively taking steps to attain a specific state of being. This state of being you cannot clearly define because you have not fully experienced it. But the desire arises because somewhere inside there is discontent; you want to be more happy, more blissful, free of suffering, and perhaps free from rebirth.
Living Through Your True Center
Submitted by Sevara on Fri, 06/22/2007 - 21:47.Have you ever thought about your center? Did you know that you have one? Stop and feel for a moment...try and sense where yours is. There is only one true center through which we will feel grounded, blissful, connected, balanced, and sane. But before we get to that center, let's discuss the other centers.
